Join Our Team: Volunteers vs. Ambassadors
There are two ways to get involved! Whether you prefer being hands-on with event logistics or love promoting the fest and connecting with the community, we’ve got a role for you.
Volunteer tasks include:
Volunteers play an essential role in ensuring the event runs smoothly. From setup to closing, you’ll be part of the operational backbone of the fest.
Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist with setting up booths, decorations, and helping vendors get ready. After the event, support with takedown and cleanup.
Crowd Assistance: Help direct attendees, answer questions, and ensure they have the best experience possible.
Vendor and Speaker Support: Provide assistance to vendors and speakers during the event. -
Green Team: Help with sustainability efforts like waste sorting, recycling, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the event.
Time Commitment: 4 to 6 hours, depending on shift availability.

Ambassador responsibilities include:
Ambassadors are the face of The Hella Plants Holiday Market or the BlackOut Market, responsible for spreading the word and creating buzz leading up to the event. If you're active on social media, love talking to people, and enjoy representing exciting initiatives, this role is for you!
Social Media Promotion: Share event updates, flyers, and create excitement through posts, stories, and videos on your platforms.
Community Outreach: Engage with local plant and sustainability groups, and invite them to attend or participate in the Long Beach Plant Fest.
Represent at the Fest: At the event, act as a Plant Fest representative, helping guide attendees, providing information, and generating excitement.
Time Commitment: Flexible, with approximately 3 to 5 hours a week in the lead-up to the event.
